MENTOR had a busy time at last week’s Light+Building exhibition in Frankfurt and I was there to support during the first two days of the show.
As well as the normal day-to-day enquiries for the very broad range of MENTOR products and services, there was particular interest in three specific areas:-
- MENTOR’s demo area that very effectively illustrated their competencies in Tunable White. What impressed most visitors was that MENTOR has more than one technology – they are able to deliver in an un-biased way the type of solution most suitable to the application.
- The reference samples of MENTOR’s collaboration with major OEM manufacturers in developing LED optics that exactly meet the original design brief. MENTOR displayed major product ranges from these OEMs that have already been successfully launched.
- MENTOR’s new range of rear-mounted panel light guides – this insertion method overcomes the optical limitations of conventional front-panel mounted light guides.
Again, I was struck by the efficiency and competence of MENTOR’s 500-employee operation and by the knowledge and commitment of their high-calibre people. My visit also reminded me how friendly they are and how much they like their beer!
