Customised Versions
Custom lengths can also be supplied, often with little or no tooling costs. Versions using a special diffusing material to produce a frosted effect are available, as is self-colouring of the light guides. The latter allows the potential illuminated colour to be shown even when the LED is in an “off” statues.
Unique Flexible Light Guide Versions
MENTOR’s IP68 flexible light guides are available in three stylish head types: spherical, planar and counterbore. They are designed for use with SMD TOPLEDS and are mounted on the PCB via two press-in lugs. The IP68 housings are designed to accommodate Ø2mm light guides, i.e. 2000μm PMMA fibres. Housings, light guides and lenses are supplied unassembled.
